Alis Rowe is amazing and so inspiring she writes with such truth!
All Alis books help me to understand my condition and how to cope, without Alis books I would feel less alone.
Alis books are easy to understand as they have big writing and lots of visuals I’m an aspie myself so this is an amazing find.
Alis information comes from a real place as Alis has Aspergers.
in This book Alis gives ideas and advice on how Aspergers affects teenagers going through puberty once diganoised and the problems this age group have at this time. there are some great diagrams in the book on how parents and the child themselves can help understand themselves better.
I bought this book to help me understand myself better at this time I felt this was the toughest part of my life so far and was such a confusing horrible time of emotions thoughts and feelings and it all makes sense and now i understand why I was struggling so much at that time,
    Another great book Alis
    Thank you again

Look what’s arrived!! The long awaited book on puberty.

What do I love about it? It’s insightful, simple and clear. It makes you think about things you wouldn’t have thought of, for example sections on sexuality, feelings, peer pressure, and going out safely, as well as the expected sections on puberty, periods, and hygiene.

Alis Rowe’s books are always insightful and never disappoint me.

Really important for the parent or carer of any young woman on the autism spectrum who is coming up to puberty. Also very useful for those who care for or are on the autism spectrum who are teens or older. Fantastic resource, should be in every school library. I have bought a copy for my local school for those with complex needs including autism.

Got this for my 11 year old daughter last month. We read it together and she read it alone as well. Perfectly timed too… her periods started last week and she’s taken it all in her stride. I have been careful not to assume anything and have methodically explained every single thing she needs to do, and why, step by step. As a N.T. I remember being mortally embarrassed by starting my periods, however my Aspergers’ daughter (just 2 weeks after her 11th birthday) has handled it with such an easy – going matter of factness; I’m so relieved!! Well done Alis, you’ve done it again! This book is perfectly pitched for the age-group and is a valuable resource for parents as well as the pre-teens.

This book was recommended to me for my daughter who has Aspergers and is just starting puberty. It was very clear and informative and has helped her to understand a little better as well as preparing her a little for what’s ahead.

What an excellent job Alis Rowe has done with “AS and Puberty”! I will be recommending this book to all mums of AS daughters, pre teen and teen girls, who I know and parents I work with who have AS daughters! I love the way it’s from TGWTCH perspective making it feel very real and, I suspect, for teen AS girls like checking with a friend as to what puberty means rather than just mum. The practical tips will provide a great reference for AS girls while they go through their teens. I see so much of what my now adult daughter with AS went through in her teens. I wish I’d had this book to refer to and to give her to refer to. Fantastic!
