Lee (AS) works at the local postal office. She absolutely loves her job, and is able to combine her special interest (stamps) with her job. The team decides to go out during lunch break, to the new café for a quick lunch. This is unsettling for Lee, as she prefers to have her lunch in the office lunchroom, in her safe environment. She decides to go along however, trying her very best to be social.
In the new café, the group finds a suitable table, and Lee’s coworkers seem very excited to have lunch there. Once seated, they all start talking to each other, and Lee feels a bit uncomfortable. She remembers however… she saw a stamp today, all the way from Cambodia(!), and decides to tell the team about it.
Lee: ‘hey, guess what? Today I saw a stamp all the way from Cambodia! Isn’t that amazing?’
Philip looks at her, and rolls his eyes a little. Liz sighs and says ‘ Please Lee, we’re having lunch, can you try to not talk about work now?’ She continues conversation with Philip about the new car their neighbors bought.
