Stamina for socialising

Posted by: alisrowe, June 8, 2015

Anyone who has been following the girl with the curly hair for a while will know my stance on social energy. Basically, I believe that people with ASD have reduced capacity for social interactions in comparison to NTs. I want to write about, what I call, the ‘stamina’ for socialising that people with ASD have.

I’ve observed that NTs have much more stamina for socialising than people with ASD. To me, it even feels that they can go on forever! I have even asked some NTs about this and, in response, one lady said that she would “tire” physically but not socially. It would be the physical tiredness that would cause her to ‘end’ her social plans.
