I am 26 years old and even with all the life experience I’ve had (school, university, being employed, being an employer, etc.), I still have trouble understanding the relationships between people. It seems a lot easier for neurotypical people to draw lines between strangers, acquaintances, friends and colleagues, but, for me, the lines are very blurred or squiggly. With the rise in usage of Facebook, I find the lines are even less defined. The personal Facebook profile and the ability to ‘request’ and ‘accept’ ‘friendships’ is not really that helpful for people with ASD.
