not many people have passion and drive together. I wonder if people with ASD are more likely to have both?
1. People with ASD are passionate as well as driven
A lot of people are either passionate or driven, it’s a lot less common for someone to be both. Passion is a genuine love for your hobby or work. Passion isn’t the goal, it’s the journey. If you want to be good at anything you have to be passionate for the process of it. I love writing. I love weightlifting. The processes themselves are enough for me to want to do them. Passion is not forced. Drive is that need to achieve, to get somewhere. It’s motivation. The goal.
I have come across many people with ASD who are both passionate and driven. I wonder if their success is partly down to this combination of characteristics.
